Darla's Story

School All I can tell you is that I spent FAR FAR FAR too much time crying over one particular boy that obviously was NOT as interested in me as I was in him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And NO, I would definitely not do it again and I tell every young girl I possibly can NOT to do it either! I should have been having fun, being carefree and not so serious! I suppose it is a lesson learned. Unfortunately it took me many many years to GET IT!! LOL :) And favorite teachers...hmmm... I would have to say Ms. Sisler in World History. I HATE history and she actually made it interesting! :) College Well, I took some classes in '91, then again in '93. Stopped going because of a promotion at work... BIG mistake! Returned to college in 2002, but still did not stick with it. Finally at 35 I returned to college - now at The Salvation Army Evangeline Booth College, School for officer training (fancy...Expand for more
name for seminary!) and will be graduating in June with a degree in Christian Ministry! wahoooooooooo :) We will be immediately commissioned to either assist, or be placed in charge of, a Salvation Army church/thrift store/rehabiliation program type facility. Which could be anywhere from as far West as Texas and as far North as Maryland! We can't wait to find out where they are sending us :) We do know that in March we will be going to Barbados on a mission trip - we are SO excited! For anyone who is interested, I believe we are being commissioned around June 10th or 11th - we would LOVE for you to be there!!! :) Workplace Little Caesars 2yrs Equifax accounts receivable 7or8yrs Landstar transportation 3yrs The Salvation Army 1 1/2yrs Wal-mart (working nights for 5 yrs after Abigail was born) back to The Salvation Army 1yr ... now fulltime student - soon to be an ordained minister! :)
