Darla's Story
Life
Wow! Just looking at the all the names here brings back fun memories. Well, I married my high school sweetheart (after a marriage to the wrong guy) and we are still married - 25 years. I have two boys, Andy (23) and Kyler (17) - dare I say, Kyler is a Richland Rebel. Andy was a Haltom High Graduate and is now in college when he chooses to attend class! I don't think this will last long. I went to work for Panther Chemical right after Graduation weekend (yes, I missed a trip with Sharon, Kathy, Tammy, and girlfriends that week that I regretted) but I did manage to stay at Panther for 22 years. I now work as an Office Manager for K2Chem, Inc., a Environmental Water Treatment firm (dream job) with a wonderful group of people that make life fun. James (Hardee) and I do alot of camping, fishing, and riding our horses... and the boys and their dad ride dirt bikes. I watch! We still keep in touch with alot friends from high school so chances are I have even heard the latest scoop on you! We bought the home next door to where I grew up! I still eat at Clown burger every once in awhile....Expand for more
..and oh yes, I find myself at the Holiday Skating Rink at 11:00 picking up a jeep load of kids just like my parents used to do! Sometimes Marilyn and I skate with them. My mom and dad moved to Diamond Oaks...that neighborhood where I used to think the houses were mansions and only the rich snobby kids lived...where I trick or treated because they had better candy and where we went for the Christmas lights show. Now, the houses don't seem so big and all the people are nice and really not snobby. LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE was a poster on my wall in high school (I think it was one of those black light ones, remember those) Now, I have the wooden version. Hopefully, we have all done alot of each.
GO REBELS! Just kiddin! This is gonna take some getting used to... I do sleep in a Richland T-shirt I 'm workin up to wearing it out into public, for my son's sake. Email me, I would love to hear from you!
P.S. Sept / 2007 I just wore my first Richland High School T-Shirt out in Public.
P.S.S. I just wore my first Richland High School Sweatshirt/Pajama bottoms in public :-)
