Darlene's Story
Darlene Woodell, Washington Academy, Class of 1965.
Opted out of attending Brockport State. Worked at Glens Falls Insurance, NY Telephone and Kraft Foods in Albany until 1968.
Married John Steiner in 1968. After his return from Viet Nam we moved to Florida for a couple of years prior to a four year tour in England. After returning from England we settled in Sacramento, Ca.
John and I have three children, Amanda, Justine, and Karl. Ananda is retired from Solano County Peace Officers and has been a union rep for several years. Justine is a nurse in Iowa. Karl is retired from the Army. Most of his career was in Spanish Speaking Special Ops. His last seven years was spent in Colorado teaching mountaineering survival to troops being deployed to Afghanistan.

ment offered many opportunities over the years both in England and Sacramento. I finally retired in 2015.
I remarried in 2016 to Dallas Vaughn. At the end of 2016 Dallas and I relocated to Klamath Falls, Oregon where we enjoy a reasonably quiet life with our boys. Boomer, a twelve year old shedding Shepherd and Jesse James, a two year old Australian Labradoodle (non-shedding.) we occasionally take our boat out to lake of the Woods (just down our back road) for a little fishing or take our motorhome out for a short adventure of the coast or other unvisited areas. When not doing the more carefree ventures Dallas is either woodworking in our shop or playing upstairs in his train room. When I have a chance I also go to the shop, where I have a sewing/craft room, and Lise myself in one project or another.
