Darrel's Story
My wife and I have two children. We celebrated our 45 anniversary in November 2007. Our daughter is an attorney is currently employed by the Kansas Bar Association. Our son is an electronic engineer and is currently Network Administrator for a local business. I have one granddaughter (age 6), who my son continually says is the cause of all his gray hair.
I taught in public school for thirty-seven years. I have taught fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. I have also taught cooking, music, and PE. Since my retirement I have been teaching Adult Basic Ed.

ever they were wrong about what I would become.
I smoked cigarettes while working on my car in auto shop and drank beer at the class picnic.
I hope I am remembered as a very quiet person who stayed out of trouble.
I would be happy to be traveling with my wife through California and visiting all the places of our past.
The biggest surprise of my life is that I am living in Kansas and own a farm.
The weirdest job I've had was cleaning 500 gallon paint tanks with paint thinner without proper breathing equipment. In those days, OSHA didn't exist.
I have lived in California, Texas, and Kansas. I moved to create better opportunities for my children.
