Darren's Story

Life I am still a pretty laid back kind of guy. I am married with 5 children (second marriage - 2 step children, 2 from previous marriage and one with current wife). I started working for Xerox almost immediately after HS and remained in the office machine industry since then. I was a service manager for a copier dealership in Denville for several years before taking my current position as an IT specialist for another dealership. I am Microsoft certified and love what I do. Last year, I ran a write in campaign for Board of Education, and won by a single vote (after a weeklong deliberation be...Expand for more
tween the board of elections). I was elected to the position of Vice President within 6 months of my service on the Board. I am very involved with local, and now state, politics. I ran a couple of times for Borough Council and while I did not win, I learned a lot and met a lot of influential people. I am friends with my Assemblyman (who is now running for State Senate) and am fortunate to have had all of those opportunities. All in all, I am pretty proud of myself for my accomplishments. I regret not going to College, but I have done some pretty good things with my life and I can't complain.
