Darryl's Story
Currently:
Been a while since the previous update. Like everyone else I am getting old. My mom is still kicking around and will be 99 this July. We sold the old house a couple of years ago and put mom into Weston gardens. I have driven around the old school area a few times in the last decade and not much has changed. I see the houses and remember who lived where. It is an interesting exercise, but it tells me how much time has passed.
I am still working as an engineer in Texas but I am starting a new business's raven a fair bit with family. Retirement just seems to dead to me. I still travel a lot with my wife. We have three kids and 6 grand kids.

Hard to believe that it's almost 40 years since I left Weston. After I graduated from HS I went to University of Waterloo. It was a time of trying to find myself. Two years in Electrical Engineering followed by one year in Physics and three years in Mechanical Engineering I finally graduated in 1975 with a Mechanical Engineering degree. I took a job in Brantford Ontario, met my wife and we had a girl and a boy. I even got to meet Wayne Gretzky.

move to Tennessee so we did. I lived in three different locations in Tennessee over about 12 years. We had a boy that completed our family. That was a girl and two boys. In 1999 things got bad in the town that I lived in and I looked for a way out. I found a job in Texas where I am now. We now have three grandchildren from our two oldest kids. Our nest is almost empty. My main claim to fame is that I coached a 14 and under roller hockey team and we qualified to go to a national tournament and finished third. It takes a lot of work to teach hockey in Texas.
In order to stay entertained my wife, Carol, and I tour a lot on my Yamaha Royal Star motorcycle. Year round riding weather makes it possible to travel a lot. We have been as far north as MO, as far west at AZ, as far east as VA and we have been to south TX.
I remember my WCVS days fondly. I was a bit of a loner and lived out of district so I did not get involved in after school activities. Most of my social memories are from break times, class room and cafeteria friendships.
I don't get up to Toronto much anymore but if you remember me I would like share memories in an email or two.
