Dave's Story
Life
Well, started out at holmes,then Franklyn, then Wheaton north high school. Thats right Wheaton all my life. When I was done with north I bought a fixer up home in winfield and was there for 16 years. I then built a home right next door and sold my fixerup home. Between school and 1999 I almost got married twice and both times It just didn't work out, it just seem living with them was just what somebody wanted me to do,HA!.I work for a chemical company in bensenville for 8 years as a electriction and welder up until 1988 and then went to work for a major roofing contractor as also welder and manager. Work there for 14 yrs. Inbetween all those years I had my small engine business on the side working out of my home in Winfield. When 911 hit the commerical roofing business got real slow and our company down size and let 6 managers go. My father who past away in 1996 was a general contractor and I new that business well. SO in 2001 I Move to Rochelle IL and Started building Custom Homes. The reason I moved to Rochelle is that in 1997 I purchase a 15 unit apartment building in the town of rochelle. mile drive to and from winfield was getting old. Rochelle is a small town west of the old hood where I grew up. The city of Rochelle has that train intermotom (train yard) which is making the town grow quickly. Since I been out here I am on my 12th home and loving the country living. I have a new home on 1 acre about 5 miles west of Rochelle. I have a dog (black lab) which has been with me since she was 6 weeks old, and now she is going on 12 years. I am currenly designing a carwash that I will be breaking ground in the spring of 2005.I do drive back to wheaton, Winfield area ever do offen as I still have business there and friends. I drive by Wheaton north when I can and OOOOO' my gosh has it so ever change.My dad built a home right next to the football field of wheaton north and that has even change. Its always nice to drive in that area and to think back to the good O Days!!. Its been along time but when you sit there and dream back to the 1974,5,6,7,8 years it just seems like yesterday. Well enough of this, it been pretty wild to join this Classmates.com and to see alot of old school classmate names.
