David's Story
Life
Married Shirley Ashworth (also Ravenswood class of 1968) in 1971. Moved to Humboldt County and got a BS degreee in Forestry at Humboldt State; moved to Albany Oregon in 1975, where I worked in the woods until 1984. While in Humboldt County, Shirley worked for Louisiana Pacific in Samoa. After moving to Oregon, she worked for the Albany Public Library and Albany Public Schools. Dave got hired by Hewlett Packard in Corvallis and then we transferred to Roseville in 1986 and lived in Auburn and retired from Hewlett Packard in 2002. We sold our house in 2006 and moved to a house we had built in Meadow Vista, CA, just above Auburn in 2007....Expand for more
Shirley graduated from USF with a BA in Organizational Behavior in 2001 and has been working for Pride Industries with developmentaly diabled adults since 1986. One daugher, Jessica is 34. She was born in Albany, Oregon and currently lives about 5 miles away in Christian Valley. She got her RN in 2009 and got married in 2009. She just had a baby girl, our first grandchild on March 30, 2010. She currently works as a nurse in Folsom. Her husband is a firefighter/paramedic in El Dorado County.
I just finished a year as Grand President of the Native Sons of the Golden West, a California historical fraternity located out of San Francisco.
