David's Story
If you're reading this, I'm sure you never really knew me. Just kidding. What happened over the past 35 years? I survived long enough to meet my wife of 21 years, Jackie, while I was in graduate school in Virginia. From there, two boys mysteriously appeared in our house, and held us hostage while they got big enough to hold us hostage at gun point and demand cold hard cash in order to prepare them to leave us alone (coming soon to a home near you).

ll time gig, and two sidelines. They all pay better than the money I hauled in life guarding at Hunter Mountain, but at $1.65 per hour what can one expect. Picking up bottles and aluminum cans pays better than that did, but there were a few perks, as I recall.
My kids keep us under wraps in a four-bedroom Colonial about 20 miles south of Richmond, VA, somewhere between I-95 and the Appomattox River. We have three dogs, a black lab, a Maltese, and some kind of designer hound, called Grizz (he really belongs to my older son, yeah right). Other than that, we await the day our captors leave us alone and go about their own business.
