David Buck:  

I left Campbell in 1962 for UOP in Stockton. I graduated as a violin major in '66 and met Linda, my wife, in '65. Then moved to Seattle and got my Masters and Doctorate in Conducting in 1970 at the University of Washington. We moved to Rhode Island that year where Linda and I taught at the University of Rhode Island until 1976. Then we moved to Los Angeles, Altadena specifically, where I taught at Cal State LA until 2002 when I retired early in order to pursue different conducting goals. Along the way we had three children, Debbie, Jonathan, and Kevin. They are all musicians too....not my idea! We have two grandchildren and another little one on the way. Debbie is a famous violinist (Google her), Jon is the famous R&B artist, Jon B. Kevin is a fine cellist. Linda is one of the most sought after piano teachers in LA. She refuses to retire!
