Ruby (my high school sweetheart) and I were married in 1972 and have three children, Dave, Mark and Melanie. All three are married (Dave to Roz, Mark to Patti, Melanie to Craig). Dave and Roz have four daughters. Mark and Patti have one daughter and a son. Melanie and Craig have one daughter. They all live close by. We get to see them often, a real blessing.
After 11 years of working for the Standards Council of Canada, with 6 years as Manager of its Laboratory Accreditaton program, I'm now back in a real lab, certifying products that meet energy efficiency requirements. I'm...Expand for more

My most satisfying career experience was being the head draftsman on a multi-year project to re-equip the Canadian Navy with new UHF autotune ship-to-ship communications equipment in the 1970s.
Ruby retired from Nemko Canada Inc. in December 2005 and now works part time at Curves for Women (a complete departure from her previous employment). We're trying to take life a little easier now. I've nearly completed the process of converting an MCI highway coach into a motor home.
Herb Plewischkies is the high school teacher who most inspired me to any kind of success I've achieved.
