David's Story
Life
After graduating from Wayland in 1961, I spent: 1.5 years at Carleton majoring in wine/women/song; 4 years in the Navy as an electronics technician; 2.5 years teaching electronics at Wisconsin School of Electronics in Madison, while earning an Associate's degree from Madison Area Technical College, and a BA in history from UW-Madison; administrative jobs, 1 year at the State Higher Educational Aids Board in Madison and 6 years at UW-Milwaukee; 3 years in real estate and mortgage lending; 3 years in computer hardware/software consulting; 6.5 years teaching ...Expand for more
programming and electronics at MBTI Business Training Institute in Milwaukee; Since 1989 at Quad/Graphics, Inc. as a programmer/analyst, and at Milwaukee Area Technical College as a CIS instructor - initially full-time at Quad & part-time at MATC, now retired at Quad and full-time tenured at MATC. Divorced twice; married since 1985 to Karen; four daughters and one son, all grown and moved out on their own. Milwaukee River, with boat slip, in front of our condominium. No longer sing and play guitar professionally, but still play and sing in church on occasion.
