Rev. David's Story
Life
In 1949 after attending 4th. St.Elem. school, my family moved to Tenn. We returned to Ky. in 1950 and I attended Arnold School. In 1950 we moved again to Alex. Ky and I finished the 8th. Grade. We moved to Silver Grove and I finished HS there. I went to Lindsey Wilson College and received an AA Degree. In 1963 I went to Union College in Barbourville, Ky. and Graduated with a double major in Sociology and Religion in 1965.
While at Union I married Wanda Sue Rogers. From 1965 - 1969 I attended and Graduated from Methodist Theological School in Delaware,Ohio. I joined the Ky. United Methodist Church Conference as Deacon in 1967 and as Elder in 1969.
We remained in Ky. for ten years. I decided to go into chaplaincy which required more training and education for me and moving to SC for two years for my family.
We ended up serving as chaplain and family in NC where I served for 13 years as the department head of a large long term nursing care center.

Elizabeth Anne, our youngest daughter has her own three year old daughter, Leeanne Marie Shreves, and Sean Anthony Shreves one year old and walking.
Wanda and I have been married 40 years and now live at 2001 Ash St., SW Supply, NC 28462. We love it on the coast where we go swimming, boating and fishing quite often. We have made some friends and they are precious to us. We have been back to all of our schools to vist, but the nearest and dearest to our hearts is Lindsey. To me, Lindsey gave me my start. That means a lot. And as keats reminds us, "...a thing of beauty is a joy forever, it shall never pass into nothingness. ..." And may I add one other thought to that, Lindsey is not only a thing of beauty but a thing of strength as well. The two ideas of beauty and strength will carry you a long way.
We have an update. Troy is in Saudia Rabia in the Air Force. His wife and their daughter have just flown into the states from London, England. Ariel, their daughter will be two in January. Pray for them as they have to be apart for this tour of duty.
We have a new great grand six weeks old who is named Caleb Alexander.
