David's Story
College
Started at University of Chicago as a Physics major; by my second year I switched to Political Science, and then dropped out by Spring Quarter. Spent some time doing computer work for the U of C, then returned home to Appleton when my Dad died in 1990. By 1992, I was back at school, going to UW-Fox Valley, and then transferring to UW-Madison in 1993. Finished my B.S. with Honors in Philosophy and PoliSci in 1995, and then went off ...Expand for more
to backpack thru Europe for a few months. After getting married in Spring 1997, I returned to Madison to pursue Philosophy in grad school, but after a year I stopped out , because I knew I didn't want to become a junior faculty member in philosophy, I wasn't working very hard at school, and I had a child on the way. I picked up my Master's retroactively from Madison a few years later, but I don't expect I'll be returning to that department...
