David's Story

Life I guess my life turned out pretty well after a rough start. I went the way of music in academia: I got my bachelor's in composition at NIU, then went out to Seattle for my masters in composition and ethnomusicology at U of Washington, then the University of Chicago for my PhD. ava, Indonesia in 1995/96. Now I'm teaching at Oakton College and Columbia in Chicago. I re-married in 2005 and live in the Northern Illinois area. I have my own studio and couple of CDs out. (the "then and now" pictures are a little hard to see, but the instruments pictured are didjeridoos from Australia.)
