David's Story
Hi Everyone,
Here's a brief summary of what's been going on for me since '82.
PROFESSIONALLY
After a year of college at Widener University, I moved to Los Angeles and finished school at Calif. State Univ. in Northridge, Ca. I went on to work for a national travel management company responsible for several large corporate accounts. After several years in LA, I transferred to NYC overseeing all travel for the company, Liz Claiborne Inc. Completely worn out and exhausted, I returned to LA two years later and finally settled in San Diego where I've been since '94. I continued in the travel industry until 2001 when I changed careers and became a hotel night auditor. I finally stopped working permanently in 2008 due to the fact that I am now legally blind. me as an administrative assistant for Century 21 Real Estate Agency. Additionally, I devote 18 hours a week in a local computer lab as a volunteer helping others.
PERSONALLY
I'm single, never been married, and have no children. This of course is largely due to the fact that I'm gay. I had a couple relationships since 82, but my most significant was for 8 years and ended the summer of 2012. I've had my share of challenges, but I've had 10 times the number of good times. I have no regrets, except losing my eyesight. But I do believe the age old saying "everything happens for a reason." One day I hope to find out what the reason is for losing my sight.
