David's Story
Life
I am living a very happy retired life with my best friend, Mr Watson, (a 17 year old beagle). After years of traveling around the world, it’s a pleasure to just be a home body enjoying time with the grand kids (Oliver, Dylan, and Addison). You may find me often sitting out front of Anthem Coffee enjoying a blended mocha or a mocha breve, or shopping at the Puyallup Fred Meyers.. I was President of the Sumner Lions Club for a while, but now volunteer for numerous activities at my church. My friends all call me ‘Big Poppa’. They all love my jokes and war stories. I am more content now than I’ve ever been in my whole life. All is good!
School
Other than professional schools, My last days in college were in the 70's
College...Expand for more
I lost the lottery and went off to play military prior to graduation. I spent some great times in Green Guard and their parties. I enjoyed the performing arts facilities working with drama, music and the upstart radio station.
Workplace: I have finally been able to retire fully and filling my time with a lot of volunteer work at my church (Puyallup Foursquare)
Military
I spent a brief career in the Security Police but ended up in Operations (for a awile in the MAC Air Lift Control Element (MAC ALCE) and ending up in Special Ops. My last duty assignment was as Non Commissioned Officer in Charge of Stage Management (operations control of all airlift for Desert Shield/Storm out of Charleston AFB, S.C.) I retired after the war.
