David's Story
Life
I grew up in Fort Collins and had what I consider a happy childhood. I loved the wide open spaces back then. I have 4 older brothers and sisters who mentored me. My brother has had a home in Rist Canyon for many years and I used to love going up there. Going swimming at the city park pool was fun. I used to tag along with my Dad when he went golfing at the country club. After high school I moved to California and have lived here ever since. I went to community college, worked in the aerospace field, sold cars and now I started a cleaning business and it is working out real well. I have a wife and 6 kids, 2 boys and 4 girls. My son is graduating from high school this year. I feel pretty content and am glad that I have taken control of my job direction. I'll add more to this later. I have alot of good memories from my younger years and I'm looking forward to doing a little connecting some of the people I grew up with.

urch at the corner of Skyline Drive and Elizabeth. I remember getting in trouble for being the class clown. Moore Elementary School was good. I had Mr. Gayton for 6th period. He was an interesting person. He had a collection of exotic snakes that he brought to school sometimes each day he would read the Hobbit to us and bring it to life. At Blevins Junior High I joined the wrestling team in 7th grade. I had my first kiss playing spin the bottle at Mike Urbom's house. I got my homework done but I also hung out with some of the "bad crowd". I used to love going to Campus West to play foosball and go across the street to eat Sicilian style pizza. Led Zeppelin was big then and so was Marshall Tucker and many others. At Poudre I continued wrestling. I wasn't that good at it but I loved the practices and being part of the team. I didn't go to prom because I didn't have anybody special to go with. I was excited about graduating and going out to "explore the world".
