David's Story
I was in the high school band (played trumpet, and also piano, in Jazz band), I took college prep courses, was on the honor roll, and played on JV tennis team.
I was generally quiet, studious, and a bit of a nerd in High School. I had one long term (1.5 years)girlfriend in HS. My best friend was Chuck Nemejc, who I am still in touch with. I have many great memories of being in band, and on the JV tennis team. High school was generally fun - even when the band bus was shot at when visiting Baldwin Park High at an away football game.
After graduation, I left the San Gabriel Valley to go to college in the San Fernando Valley and to pursue music more, playing guitar and piano in rock bands at night while studying "serious" music in...Expand for more

After college, I tried and hustled my way into the the music business. Eventually I became a record producer and record company executive working with many great recording artists, usually after their career had peaked. My favorites were probably Chicago and Fleetwood Mac, but I've been lucky to work with many great artists and had a great career while the recorded music business was healthy. It is not so good anymore. I now work in TV - composing music for cartoons.
I have 2 wonderful grown sons (19 & 23) who are interested in and skilled in two of my passions, baseball (love Angels and Dodgers, in that order) and music. I also, of course, have a fantastic wife, who has supported all my crazy schemes. I am grateful.
