David's Story

Life As most of you know Eileen Fitzwilson and I were married in late 65. We have two children, Shawn and David. Shawn graduated from Mercer University in Atlanta. David graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. Eileen and I were divorced in 71 or so. I packed up and moved to Denver, Colorado for a few years then moved to ST. Louis Mo. where I went through flight training at the Spirit of St. Louis Flight School. After that I put down roots in Houston, Texas. I went wild in Texas for a few years until I met and married a Houston Cowgirl, That was some 25 years ago. She almost has me saddle broke. In 86 we aquired the High Point Ranch in Huntsville, Texas. We are members of The Texas Longhorn Breeders Association and the American Paint Horse Association. Sherri knew about this stuff long before I ever moved to Texas. I had to find out the hard way. Like when the cows get excited they run over you. Ouch! Old age ain't no place for sissies. Well enough about that. The following is a review of what I do and have done for a real living. I've racked up more than 35 years experience in process piping ranging from drafting and design checking to design supervision. Served as a discipline supervisor in administering company policy, wage and salary administration, and directing technical efforts in the completion of a verity of design and drafting tasks, in the Oil and Gas Industery. ng department, which encompassed Arctic engineering, various pre commissioning, start-up and shutdown operations. Supervised a piping department, which adheared to a fast track schedule for an oil and gas seperation facility in the Syrian Desert. Through teamwork and communication the project was completed under budget and ahead of schedule and received the Presidents Award for Excellence in Quality Improvement. Supervised a piping department on a fast-track fixed price Gas Plant in the Syrian Arab Republic. The Omar Gas plant was Engineered, Procured, Constructed and Commissioned in a record time of 12 months after contract award. Supervised a piping department which employed the highest practicable envorinmental standards in the design of an Oil and Gas Separation and High Pressure Water Injection Facilith in the Amazon Rain Forrest. Served as Piping Department Manager for Arabian Consulting Engineering Center, Al-Kobar Saudi Arabia. Served as field Piping Engineer on the Pre Commissioning and start-up of the BRM-CPB pipeline project for Petrobras in Santa Cruz, Bolivia and Corumba Brazil. Currently serving as PDS/Cadd Design Leader for Exxonmobil's Low Sulfur Motorgas project in New Orleans, La. My foreign assignments have been in Azerbaijan, Colombia, Canada, Equador, Bolivia, England, Germany, Saudia Aribia, Syria, Qutar and Brazil. Can't wait to see you guys at the 40th next year. Take care be safe. Go Tigers!!!
