David (Dave)'s Story

Life Hi Everyone, I have missed and thought about many of you over the years. David Boley is in the KC phone book and he knows my number and email address. I have lived in Belton, MO since June of 98. I worked at Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceuticals Division for almost 10 years until 31 July 07 when they closed our distribution center and moved it to Atlanta. I was a Transportation Coordinator. I was also active duty Air Force for 12 yrs 4 mos prior to that. I got out and went into the Missouri Army National Guard and later went to Officer Candidate School. I have been a Captain since Oct 06 and the Brigade Engineer Tactical Officer in Charge for the 110th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade out of KC, MO. I have been married to my wife Michelle (formerly Michelle Gertz) for almost 8 years. I have 3 children from my first marriage (one moved out & will be getting married on 31 Oct 09)and my daughter Katie, son Ken, and stepson Jared still live with us. I also have 3 other stepchildren from Michelle's 1st husband that live in New York. They are all 18-23 and moved out as well. It was nice seeing everyone at our 20th year reunion and our Christmas get together. I have gained weight since I last updated this. I was down to 160lbs, but now I'm back up to 230. I am going to start walking and running again tonight. I have a Army PT Test next month. David Boley went to my graduation May of 03' from MidAmerica Nazarene University. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Management and Human Relations. I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Masters in Business Administration Feb 08. I am cptdavetanner on yaahooo. Write me soon. I talked to David Boley just prior to my deployment, so we still stay in touch, just not as much as I would like. I am back from my deployment but I am still unemployed. Let me know if you hear of anything Take care, Your Friend and Northeast Brother, Dave Tanner School Mary Denton, Leanne Spencer, and Leanne Barelli were my biggest crushes. I thought they were gorgeous and great to hang out with. Either they had boy friends or I never had the guts to ask them out on a date. Mrs. Sangren was a cool English teacher and crazy Mr. Kelly was a cool Science teacher. If I had the intelligence, knowledge, wisdom, and experience of life that I have now, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. I had a lot of great times. I just loved sports, track and field, polevaulting, and all of my ...Expand for more
friends (mainly from 83' and 84'). As a teenager, I dated about 12 girls (only one at a time though) that I either worked with at McDonald's, were friends of my sister, or neighbors, but I never dated anyone from my high school. I wish that would have been different. College I graduated with a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, Kansas City campus. I have been going to college off and on all my life. I wish that I would have accepted my 4 year tuition only scholarship to Baker University when I graduated from Northeast. I never had a roommate and never lived on a campus. I feel I missed out on the full experience. Workplace I used to love working at McDonald's, great friends and girl friends, learned a lot, and was able to be a manager, and gained a lot of leadership skills. I have been in the Air Force and now the Army for 24 years 3 months. I am a captain now and have been for 3 years. I worked at Sanofi-Aventis and it's prior names for 10 years until they closed our distro center. I recently completed a deployment to Kosovo (former Southern Serbia-former Yugoslavia) with my Missouri Army National Guard unit on 9 March 09. Military I have been in the Air Force and now the Army for 23 years 8 months. I have been a Captain for 2 1/2 years now. About 1 or 1 1/2 more years and I should be a Major. I am currently deployed with my Missouri Army National Guard unit (110th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, out of Kansas City, MO) in Kosovo (former Southern Serbia-former Yugoslavia). I will be back home the 3rd of March 2009. I was stationed at Whiteman AFB, MO, RAF Molesworth, UK, Comiso ASN, Italy (Sicily), Malmstrom AFB, MT, Keesler AFB, MS, Dyess AFB, TX, and Doha AB, Qatar (when it was a tent city and not the R&R resort it is now) during Desert Shield, Storm, and Calm during the Persian Gulf War. While I was deployed, I was working 12 1/2 - 14 hour shifts 6 days a week. So I didn't have much time for anything. One way I blew off steam since March 2008 was lifting weights. I lifted about 3 times a week and used the elliptical too. I recently bench pressed 315 lbs and squatted 500 lbs. I also played World of Warcraft. I have level 37 Paladin. Yes, I was a WOW Head, but have quit and started playing Piratequest.net. Write me back or add me as a friend. Look at my Then picture, it is really another Now picture. It is a picture of me with my deployed friends.
