Life
Clarinetist David Brooke Wetzel received his B. Mus. from the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, the M. M. from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University, and the DMA from the University of Arizona. His clarinet teachers include Dan C. Sparks, Thea King, Edward Palankar, Loren Kitt, and Jerry Kirkbride. He has recently performed and presented at the Endless Mountains Music Festival, the Spark Festival of Electronic Music and Art in Minneapolis and the Sonic Fusion Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. Dr. Wetzel joined the faculty of Mansfield University in 2004. He has held various positions in recording engineering, multimedia design, concert production, and music technology, and has taught previously at Central Arizona College, ITT Technical Institute, the Baltimore School for the Arts, and the Peabody Preparatory.
