David's Story
Hello former Hillcrest classmate and I hope you are doing well. My years at the school upon the crest were an intersting blend of classes, expanding my horizons through extracurricular activities and getting out of the city whenever I could. Having only lived in small and relaively isolated communities, it was an adjustment going to a school who enrollment was close to half that of the population of some of the communities where I lived. d here I've been - lived almost as far west as you can get in Canada.
One of these days I'd like to spend some time in Ottawa, a city that offered me opportunities to experiment and learn. It took me a decade or so to acknowledge that living there was a lucky opporunity. It will be a strange experience to visit (I've had two quick work-related trips) as I suspect the city is not as I remember. So if you see someone wander around Elmvale Acres wearing Gore-Tex with a faraway look in his eyes, it might be me! :-D
