Dawn's Story

Life I married Brad Casalini, Northrop class of '79. We've been married 26 years now and now live in Dallas (Lewisville). Our 2 daughters have graduated college and are successful young women. Our son is a senior at Texas A&M and will become a math teacher. After losing my little sister in a car accident in December of '01, we've learned to appreciate the little things in life. We no longer wait for "someday". We're still big on volunteering, but we're learning to say no rather than spread ourselves so thin. I've always said "When I grow up, I want to be a beach bum." Until then, I'll settle for our tropical backyard. Pool, hot tub, palm trees and tropical flowers. We play in the rain. We count our blessings. We enjoy the sunshine and warm weather here in Texas. have time, I like to make them as gifts. (who has time?) I've seen most of the 48 continental United States and I've been to Maui, Hawaii. Once the kids are gone, we'll tackle Europe. Brad's extended family is in Italy and it will be first on our list. I recently caught up with 2 of my best girlfriends from high school and we met in Fort Wayne. Other than being a little older and wiser, it was as if we were back in high school again. If you haven't reached out to someone you lost track of, I highly recommend it! Although we are comfortable, financially speaking, I believe now more than ever, that money has little to do with happiness. Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.
