at her funeral listening them talk about how she had touched thier lives, or helped them made me realize that there was so much more to life. Providing for your family didnt just mean earning money but providing for them emotionally as well. I started wondering what was I contributing by being here. This is when I found my path....I started volunteering through the hospital that I work for. Spending time with and helping senior citzens. They ask for so little, but they have so much to give. In spending just a few hours with someone you can learn so much from thier experiences. So much that we can gain from them, but yet so many times we dismiss them because they are "old". Volunteering has added so much to my life, and I try to find as many outlets as I can to do so. It doesnt require an education, or money...just alittle of your time. Finding time is always an issue, it seems every minute of the day is busy, with work, and home, and grandkids....but I have learned a very important time management technique....dusting and dishes can wait, grandchildren cant! Life is to short and I intend to spend mine enoying my family and friends.".
