Dean's Story
I assume that whoever is reading this is a Cumberland law school classmate interested in how things worked out professionally after 25 years.
I returned from Afghanistan earlier this year where I was working for UNODC Country Office in Kabul. I returned to retirement and am still living in England near Cambridge.
I retired from US Department of Justice in 2005 where I was an Immigration Judge for the previous 10 years. I was a Deputy County Attorney in Arizona briefly before moving to ...Expand for more
the UK.
A non scientific breakdown of my legal career experience would probably reflect that about 90% of my career work was in Federal Immigration Law & Procedure; 5% in Federal Labor Law; 2% in Arizona Criminal Law & Procedure; 2% in Arizona Election and Campaign Finance Law and 1% in Arizona Home Owner Association Law.
In June 1984 I could never have imagined that the contours of the career would take this shape. It seems to have worked out very well. I have no complaints or regrets.
