Dean's Story

After graduating from Franklin HS - I attended Worthington Comm. Clg., met & married my wife Dawn (from Worthington), then graduated from St. Cloud State University. I then started my teaching & coaching career; first teaching 1 year in Strandquist, Mn., then 9 yrs. in Lamberton, Mn., then the last 20 yrs. in Hesperia, California. I taught Reg. Ed. for 10 yrs. and Special Ed. the last 20 yrs., which I truly love & am fortunate to still do today. I have lost track of the exact number, but I have coached over 50 HS Varsity regular sport seasons ( not including 28 summers) with over 10 Jr. Varsity level seasons. My heroes are my parents, my children, & my family. From Franklin High School, my heroes were Coach Barney & Mrs. Foss. They ...Expand for more
taught me discipline and hard work pays off in the long run. They were right and excellent teachers / coaches. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Mr. Barney & Mr. Imberg, because of the huge infulence they had on my life, when I needed it the most. If anyone knows of their where abouts, I would appreciate you sharing that knowledge with me, I would love to thank them personally. Obsessions would be teaching special needs kids, coaching, sports, & my family. My kids have given me so much joy, there's not enough space here to truly cover the gifts they have given me. I am truly blessed ! I urge more of you to take a few minutes to complete your story - it would interesting for many of us. Have a Great Day!
