Deanna's Story
Life
As of October 19th 2007, I was officially divorced (finally). I had 5 children. My oldest boy was born in 79, lives in Ft Worth Tx. My boy/girl twins in 81, the boy is still in Harlingen Tx. and the girl is in Council Bluffs Iowa. Another daughter in 82, lives in Lewisville Tx. Our last daughter in 83, lives in Harlingen Tx. We moved from Maywood in 84. I worked in a baby clothes factory 10 years ending in 99. Traveled all over the US and Canada in a big rig until 02, then just stayed home to take care of the property we purchased from my xhusbands parents until July o7. Stayed in Cary Ill for a couple of days, then moved to Fox Lake Wisconsin to help my mom and her husband to run their warehouse, until I can get back on my feet. I have 4 grandaughters, 1 in Florida, 2 in Iowa and one in Tx. 1 Grandson in Tx.
I went to truck driving school In Dec. of 07, and on Jan 22nd of 08 I picked up the keys to my Freightliner. I drove for Schneider National. Received my one and only ticket ever ...from NYC(driving on a parkway..not speeding).
I do speak to my ex every once...Expand for more
in a while...I kinda put my big girl panties on and delt with life as it had been thrown at me, so far, no complaints.
As of Nov 13th 09 I unpacked my truck and handed in my keys. Took some time off during the winter to care for my Mom's animals and her place while she vacations in Florida. I drove 250,250 miles in less than 2 years. I can't wait to get back on the road(updated 12/06/09) Extended time taken due to my mom having heart surgery at the end of April. Am searching for the next best trucking company to sign on to as soon as mom says it's a go.(updated 7/4/10)
January 2011, moved back to Texas and am living with my youngest daughter, drove for an owner operator for a month then hired on with a small trucking company(Reveille Trucking) in Harlingen. Mid - March of 2011 my oldest and his wife are expecting their first child, my sixth grandchild. Holley Angel born 3/10/11 my newest granddaughter and my eldest son's first born, took me two months to meet her. January 25th 2012 signed on with Point Dedicated out of Troy Michigan. I run from Laredo Tx to Buffalo Ny.
