Debbie's Story
Life
I married the love of my life on April 13th, 2003. I met him on a BLIND DATE! Our first and only child was born on June 11th, 2004. He was born 9 weeks early due to my having severe toxemia and HELLP Syndrome. As a result, Daniel has been diagnosed with having Left Hemiplegia Cerebral Palsy. He goes to therapy every week and works very hard at becoming strong.
I was a band director for 3 years until my baby was born. Now I am a stay at home Mommy!

5 with infiltrating ductal carcinoma (breast cancer). I went through pre-op chemo(maximum dose), had a bilateral mastectomy, and the maximum dose of radiation.
I now make it a goal to spend my life educating others about breast cancer. My battle cry all along has been, "CANCER SUCKS."
I have been featured in an article in the New York Times, as well as the Peoria Journal Star-both relating to my cancer battle. Actually, if you google'd me, you'd find that both articles are in several papers!
