Debbie's Story
Life
I moved to Colton, OR from Hood River in the summer of 1972.
After High School I married. We have been married for 26 years. We have 2 kids. Our son Dan who is 29 married 5 years ago to Aptil Julien. Dan and April have a 4-year son and a 2-year old son. We are very proud grandparents. Our daughter Kristi is 25 and is working full time. Krist and her boyfriend are looking to buying their first home and plan on getting married in the next year. Both of kids are doing very well with their lives.
My husband and I like to go to Portland Trailblazer games. We also like to go camping. The Oregon Coast is one of our favorite places. We love to travel, but have only been able to take a couple of big vacations throughout the years. Our last vacation we went to Georgia to visit my sister and her family. My daughter and her boyfriend went with us. After visiting my sister we flew down to Orlando. We had a great couple of weeks.

to college right after high school, but I did finally get to go. When my son graduated from high school I went to Clackamas Community college and earned my Associates degree in Accounting.
Right now I am not working. I stay home and babysit our grandsons, which I absolutely love doing.
About 5 years ago I became interested in my family genealogy. This has been a wonderful hobby. I have found so many relatives throughout the country. I love checking my email everday to see if any new relatives have been able to find me. I love getting in contact with different genealogy societies through out the country and find out places where my ancestors have lived. There is even a 6th great-grandfather from Virginia whose original house is still standing and has become a Historical site in Virginia.
My have 2 dogs: Bear and Chomper; 2 cats: Daisy and Angel. We also have my daughters dog Jerry and her cat Sam until she can find a place where she can have them.
