Debbie's Story
Life
Its summer of 2005 and I am a Branch Manager of the Cloverdale Regional Library in northern Sonoma County, wine country. This is a small community about the size that Palm Springs was in the 1960's, but it is also one of the fastest growing cities around, though thankfully this is not flat land and there isn't just a blanket of new houses. I have been married for 10 years, with a stepdaughter who just graduated from High School. Relay for Life last weekend, where through lots of effort and participation of the community we raised over $103,000 for cancer research.
I dream of retiring and doing the Winnebago-around-the-U.S. drive. The other dream is to go back to Kauai, and sell muu-muus and swim in warm water. Not this year.
I am still in close contact with Kathy Haddock (now O'Loughlin) who is an English teacher in Ojai. My brother John is still in Palm Springs working for Larry Hochanadel in Bill Foster Construction.
My next adventure is to go hike up Half Dome in Yosemite next week.
