Hi All! I have been so busy just trying to live my life that I have done almost nothing to stay in contact with people at home except my immediate family. Now seems to be a good time to remedy that. After high school, I did a year at Itasca Jr. College then suddenly got a job with the post office in St. Paul. I went from being the oldest in a crazy, very active family in little old Marble to living completely alone in the big city. It wasn't for me. I moved back to continue one more year at IJC then went off adventuring with friends to Southern California where I lived for 6 years. There I met my husband, (a CA native). Neither of us liked the Southern CA attitude and both of us were in the midst of a profound spiritual conversion, so we moved back to Minnesota where we got married and proceeded to have 4 very wonderful kids. We even ended up living back in Marble for about 12 years, (where I had vowed I would never return to)! I guess one should never say never. God tends to have a sense of humor about such things! My husband wanted to finish his master's degree and we both were looking for a strong faith community to help support us in our homeschooling, so we moved to Steubenville OH so he could attend Franciscan University, an awesome establishment. Our family thrived with that move, but funds were tight and an opportunity to move back to the MInneapolis area turned up to direct a retreat center. We moved back for a couple of more years, even though we knew the job wasn't permanent. A couple years later, we moved back to Steubenville, which I now consider the place where I probably will die. It's funny....I never even had a desire to visit Ohio but here I be! Life has a very funny way of taking all kinds of unexpected twists and turns.
