Debbie's Story
I lived in Huntley, IL from 1968 - 1972 and was in the class of '72 at HHS. I subsequently graduated from Fairleigh Dickenson University in Madison, NJ with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. I met my husband David at FDU ... we just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. I worked for 20 years at NBC News (as a videotape editor and Producer on the Today Show, Nightly News, Specials and Dateline). I "retired" in 1999 to devote more time to our growing family. I now have 2 teenage daughters, 17 and 13 years old. I recently went back to work at CNBC (financial news). Seven years ago I also started my own company: Sashay School of Fashion & Desi...Expand for more
gn where our theme is "Creating Confidence with Style." We do a lot of work with Girl Scouts, and run fashion design workshops, after-school programs and camps.
I attended the Huntley High School 10 year reunion for the class of '72, and more recenly while in Chicago for a cousin's funeral I visited Huntley, where I toured the old High School building we all attended as well as the new High School ... totally awesome. Visiting the old building (which is now a preschool) brought back many fond memories of some of the inspiring teachers we had. Does anyone know where Mr. Freund (social studies) and Mr. Miller (English) are today? (dated 1/13/2013).
