Debbie's Story
Being a Majorette and a Belle at B.A.,I couldn't get dancing out of my blood. While at Richland Jr. College in 1975, I tried out for the "Dallas Tornado Soccer Team" dance/cheerleader squad, then later the "Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders." I found that when I was on stage or in front of a crowd, I wasn't that shy girl anymore and it was great!!
In 1978 at "The Point"(a disco), I met my future husband when I asked him to dance (because he was the BEST dancer there). Tim and I married in 1982 and wanted to raise our family in a slower paced environment -- too long in the fast lane -- so we bought acreage in Maypearl (west of Waxahachie) whe...Expand for more
re Tim designed and built our house. Talk about culture shock!! It's been quite an adventure. The city girl from a family of all girls, now in the country with ALLLL boys!
Today, I still live in the country with my youngest son, 2 dogs, a cat and a bird. Tim lost his 8-year battle with cancer in 2007, and our oldest son is married and expecting their 1st in Oct. He works with his older brother. I'm "Nanny Debbie" to my stepsons 2 beautiful daughters.
I sincerely look forward to a new chapter in my life, filled with many great friends, both old and new, and my dear family. Soooooo, this story is most definitely to be continued.....
