Deborah's Story
Teachers I would love to see again,
Mr. Minich - He was so cool.Great sense of humor. When we finished doing Algebra on fridays the whole class played Hollywood Squares. We played "Over The Line," with his assistant Rick Rockmess too. in P.E I missed a lot of school cause I was sick.Mr. Minich visited me when I had my tonsils removed. It really cheered me up! I won a pie auction and threw a pie in his face that was fun!
Ms. Ring - She was nice. She took dance classes and would incorporate what she learned into dance class at school. Her dance class was fun.She didn't put up with slackers. She was also my family life teacher.
Mr. Carrier - Nice- Had to Read the whole trilogy of The Hobbit etc.for World Lit. How cool was that?
Coach West-After our history lesson he would play guitar.Mr.Stein his assistant teacher Introduced me to Dan Seals younger brother of Jim Seals from Seals & Crofts from England Dan and John Ford Coley at the Encinitas Flower Festival. A woman who survived the holocaust spoke to our class. She showed us her tattoo number on her arm that the Nazi's in the concentration camp had done.It was definitely one of the most memorable days of my life.
Miss Jones Pittman- Cool, bohemian easy going, always dressed real hip,a real positive influence on everyone. I saw her at Rancho D...Expand for more
el Rey middle school when I was picking up my daughter years ago. She had not changed a bit.
Mr.Mazzorella " Mazz" Nice,Biology made tolerable just knowing we could listen to music when we were done with our lesson. The only album we listened to all semester was "Boston."
Mr. Wolfe-Nice man. I never would have known about the book "Catcher in the Rye," had he not suggested it to me. Thanks it was awesome.
Mr.Knight- Took the time to make sure I didn't miss out when it was our Driver Training group's turn to drive the only stick shift car. He came to my house when I was recovering from my tonsilectomy with Heidi Ostendorf, and Tony Perotti so I could get a chance. I was terrible. He was patient. We always drove to the smokehouse in Nestor to get beef jerky for our break.
Last but not least,The teacher I would like to see the most is
MR. MOOMAW - He was so cool and funny. The only teacher that drove a motorcycle to school.EVERYBODY liked him. He called everybody by their last name.He would get off the subject alot, but that was what was so great about him.We hung on his every word. He commanded that kind of respect without ever raising his voice. He told us stories about all kinds of things and he always interjected the sentence " WOW,Blankin JUST LIKE THAT!" no matter what he was talking about
