Deborah's Story

Hi everyone, Life goes by to fast, The reunion was something I was looking forward to. We had already made plans to attend when our Daughter, (in pictures) after seven years with her College sweetheart decided they were having a large Wedding on Oct. 10, 2010. A special time to marry 10-10-10. Needless to say we were overjoyed. I have posted some pictures which were done by a great photographer from Santa Barbara, amazing pictures.. In my youth, I imagined I would have married young and had a family right away, not so with me. Long story short, I did not meet my husband David until I was 29. We married and had our only Daughter 15 months later. Like most young people some of us (which I do not think any of us realized) were not comfortable in our own skin until we reached our 30s and 40s. I felt a few bumps in the road of life but, all in all I would say my life in Pacific Grove and early school years at David Avenue elementary School, Pacific Grove Junior high, where my happiest. High School scattered us and I never connected back with those whom I cared about. I made new friends here and there, but I was one of those that never felt I fit in once I got to High School. Maybe we all felt that way one way or thee other. I now wished I had reached out more. I will always treasure my youth in Pacific Grove, it was the Norm Rockwell picture kind of life for me. I have been back to Pacific Grove from time to time. My mother lived there for a while between 2000 and 2004. Saw the changes, still love the small home town feel. Red house cafe in PG when we visit. My daughter lives on the coast which is wonderful. North of her, if you like little small hideaways, is a small art community called Cambria, we go almost every year. May I suggest Robins in the east village for a good meal. Also, enjoy the tea Cozy for a little bit of England in a cute house on one of the many side streets. For those of you who know what I mean we are foodies, if you couldn't tell. We made a bucket list, with the French Laundry Restaurant ( Napa area) as one of our top bucket list makers, to our delight we made it to Yountsville CA. last Nov.2009, it was an amazing cuilnary experience. Where we live we grow a large garden of veggies & fruits every summer, and have 5 fruit bearing trees. All in all life has been pretty good to me. My husband started the first comminuty garden in our town which I am very proud to say. We are now entering the youth of our old age, Hard to believe I am not 25 anymore, my mind still thinks young but the mirror is telling me something different. well enough about me. Wish I could talk with everyone of you and enjoy your company again. If I was ever mean to anyone, please forgive me. If I helped you, thank you for letting me be kind. If I never said hi to you, "Hi there hope you are having a great day!" I wish you all great love, for I have been blessed to have people who love me very much, they show me everyday this love, and after all, isn't that what we really want? to love and to be loved back? Namaste~ Deborah Smith Mashore ( sounds like MayShore , without the Y)
