2005--Over the years, I've worked in administrative/clerical, recreation, retail, daycare, and, now, proofreading fields. Although I cherish the experience I've gained from all of my positions (and both good and bad bosses!), I'm happy to finally be on track with something I really enjoy doing ... proofreading/editing. resentations, etc., and also do some freelance work as available. My ideal career goal is to get into more formal proofing/editing (books, articles, etc.), but the company I'm with is a good one that offers many long-term benefits, so staying with them would be good, too. Maybe I'll get lucky and be able to keep my stable full-time job and get picked up as a freelancer by a book/magazine publisher!!!
