Deborah's Story

Life I didn't move far from Carmichael but I did move around alot. I finally settled in Nevada City on the mountain in 2004 with my partner. We have a beautiful home on .58 of an acre with our dog Maya. I have been working as a Law Enforcement Dispacher for the City of Auburn since April of 1999 and am happy to belong to this extended family. Prior to that I had my own landscape business from 1983 until April 1999. Prior to that I went to American River College to become a Physical Education Instructor but changed my mind. Since my Employment at the City of Auburn I have taken several Law Enforcement classes to aid in my advancement within the agency. My partner has four wonderful kids whose ages range from 21 to 31. Two are married and one soon to be. We also have a grandson who just turned 9 and were delighted to find out that another one is on the way. Along with Jan's family I also have 9 neices and nephews, one great neice and one great nephew. My Father passed away in January 1999 after a long battle with Al...Expand for more
zheimers. His death resulted from pneumonia after being hopitalized at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital. Prior to the hospitalization he was in at a convelescant Hospital in Auburn called Hilltop Manor. We filed a lawsuit against Hilltop for negligence and won. My Mom is still living and resides in Auburn. When I am not working I love spending time in Nevada City at my home with Jan and Maya. We live less than 5 miles from the lake and enjoy taking the boat out to fish when we can. We also love taking short trips around the area because of the beauty it has to offer. One of our goals is to try every restaurant in the city because of the fine dining and beautiful sites Nevada City has to offer. I love working out in the yard especially now that it is my own. I could not ask for more than what I have. I have a wonderful partner, an interesting job I absolutely love, a home at the end of each day with a wet nose dog to great me at the door. I never imagined that when I was in high school my life would turn out so perfect.
