Deborah's Story
Life
I have been married 29 years to my wonderful husband, Phil. I have lived in the same home on the far west side of Indianapolis for the last 36 years. We have 4 children (his, hers and ours). Our oldest daughter, Carma (my stepdaughter) passed away in 2007.
My first husband, Larry passed away in 1987. We had been married 7 years.
My only son is Taylor who is 28 years old and graduated from IUPUI with a degree in kinesiology. He is engaged to Ashley. My daughter, Rachel is 34 and studied fine art at ISU and currently works as a tattoo artist at Free Hand Body Art in Brownsburg, Indiana. tales. Our 5th grandchild was born in January 2008, from our second oldest child, Jessica, who is now 43 years old and Is starting a second career as a realtor. We now have 3 girls and two boys for grandkids! :)
I retired May 31, 2011 from nursing so I can spend more time with my family. My husband had been at Eli Lilly and Company for 41 years. He retired Sept 30, 2010. He is one of the few that actually has a pension to live on. He is working around the house for now taking care of deferred maintenace issues. He's not the rocking chair on the porch type of guy. I have not decided on the next phase of life, just going to enjoy my own time for once.
