Deborah's Story
Life
Hi! Busy, busy, busy as always. One marriage, 3 children, one divorce, 3 college degrees and one certification later, I am now in New City, a retired Paralegal, and embarking on a 'new' career as a professional genealogist.
Mom now lives with us, and suffers from dementia, though she is not Alzheimers, so she still knows who and where she is, thank goodness. I need to get out amongst the "grownups" ALOT more than I am able to! Travel whenever and wherever I can. Have been just about everywhere and twice. (sometimes more - Grand Cayman is an enduring favorite, and am planning this summer to return. MUST Dive or Die!)
I have so enjoyed our reunions, and seeing how everyone has progressed throughout the years. Cannot BELIEVE we are all approaching 50! REALLY never thought I'd make it...[OOPS! I MADE IT!]
Hope all is well with my former classmates, and I look forward to 2011.

Went to...Expand for more
R.C.C. off and on after High School. Stopped to work, marry, raise a family. While I was in the process of divorcing, I returned there and got a double degree in Math/Liberal Arts & Math & Science, as well as my Paralegal certification. From there I went to Fordham University in the Bronx, commuting every day. It was hard, as my kids were small, and it was a rigorous course of study - languages, philosophy, etc. Some semesters I carried 20 credits just so I could get it over with. I finally finished in under 2 years with nearly straight A's and was invited to become a member of the international honors society in Philosphy. As hard as it was, I am glad I did it! I am now attempting the extremely difficult feat of qualifying for my professional genealogist''s license, and hope to return to school within a year or two to work on my Masters in American History.
