After graduating from high school, I spent 8 months helping missionaries in Mexico, followed by 5 years of college, two at American River Junior College and then 3 at California State University at Sacramento. I taught two years in Lincoln, CA and then 2 more years in Idaho Falls, ID before getting married and moving to Vancouver, British Columbia where my husband studied and received his PhD in Chemical Engineering. I worked with hearing impaired students and studied writing for children. We moved back to California, setting up house in Lodi . After 5 years we took a sabbatical to Zimbabwe, Africa for a year an half where my husband taught at the University of Zimbabwe. Moving back , we bought a house in the country in Acampo, Ca where we lived for 3 more years before moving to Flagstaff, Ariizona. There my husband taught at Northern Arizona University and we had 2 more children, totaling 5 in all, homeschooling all of them .
