Delisa's Story
Life
Life? Let's see. I married my high school sweet-heart on 2/27/1988, we had our daughter Loren on 7/20/1989 and it has been a blur every since. I don't know about you but it's way to fast for me. I wish it would slow down a bit. We enjoy vacations, golf, going to the lake and just hanging out with friends and family.
On 6/2/2005 at 37 years old, I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, (Breast cancer) stage II. That was quite a shock and quite a ride. So after a lumpectomy, axillary lymph-node disection, 5 month...Expand for more
s chemotherapy, 36 radiation treatments, and 12 months of IV adjuvant therapy, I can say I'm glad that's over with and I care not to do it again.
That's about it. As with everyone I'm sure, my kid is growing up way to fast for me but it sure is fun to watch. Take care everyone!
Workplace
No cool job here. I wish. I'm a Sr. Systems Analyst at Government Employees Health Association in Lee's Summit, MO. Been there since 1988, and will probably die there. I can't complain it's a good job, but I keep hoping for the lottery.
