Denise's Story
Life
I am now nearing the end of my PhD program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I'm in the School of Journalism studying International Communication focusing on Africa. After high school, I went to Manhattanville College in NY where I double majored in International Studies & Poli Sci and double minored in African Studies & French. and got my MA in African Studies from Howard University. While in DC I also ran a nightclub where I met my husband, Conrad St. Clair. He is a bass player and audio engineer. We married in 1998. I also began work with a research firm in Maryland that I am still a consultant for. In 2000, I came to WI for school, and I'm officially ABD.
