I have four beautiful grandchildren, 5, 4, 11 mo, and 11 months. I would like to spend much more time with them and my children. I am the Chairperson of the Monroe County Democratic Party and will attend the Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO in a week. Ought to be exciting!! I am secretary to the Monroe/Lenawee AFL-CIO CLC and the Monroe Labor History Museum.
I always wanted to be a journalist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. Update 8/8/17 - retired on October 31, 2014. The following day I discovered I had cancer. For a year I was caught up in dealing with and learning all about breast cancer. I am now 2 years a survivor but still taking drugs to ward off the evil disease from returning. My three children have successful careers and between them have given me 8 beautiful grandchildren.
