School
Although I choose to forget my grade school years, my high school years were amazing. I miss the carefee days of hanging out after school for every club/activity I could. I miss being told which stairwell I could go up and which I could go down. I miss hanging out in the locker room after school doing homework. I dont miss swim class, although the pool was one of the reasons I chose to attend Villa Maria Academy. It is hard to beleive it has been 17 years (currently 2006) since I walked the halls. Miss everyone!!
College
I started College at Canisius, however was called to active duty for Desert Sheild/Desert Storm. I received a full NROTC scholarship and attended Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego for a year, but in the heat of the draw down (early 90's) and the fact that I needed 5 years to complete my degree, I was denied 5th year benefits and returned to Active Duty Navy. From there I attended San Diego City College, then Concorde Career Institute to finish out a medical assisting program. Beach and finished a dual AS. I am currently a Senior at San Diego State and will graduate next fall (2007) with a BA in music and will seek a credential in special education.
Workplace
Although I returned to work for a year and a half at Kettler International, I decided to resume staying at home with my children. Their grades were suffering, and they really needed mom at home. I went back to school and am in my final year of studies for my bachelors degree.
Military
I joined the Naval Reserves out of High School and was called to active duty for Desert Shield/Storm, and remained on active duty as an SK (StoreKeeper job rating). I was Honorably Discharged from active duty in 1994, and was a drilling reservist til 1997. I resumed drilling in 2000 til 2002 when I had major surgery, and have not reaffilliated, and with current state of the world, with 3 small children and a husband on active duty (update 2006, seeking DIVORCE), I doubt I will ever drill again. I have travelled to Europe, Africa and Asia. (Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Norway, Singapore... to name a few places...)
