Denny's Story

After graduating from Ramsey in 1965 I went to the U of M for Business Admin. Went to work at Whirlpool Corp until January 1977. Moved to Oregon and worked at a number of companies in IT. Last job was from 2001 to 2008 when the company went bankrupt and everyone was laid off. The recession and no jobs all happened then also. I was only going to work one more year but this made the decision for me. Always easier to do something when you are forced to. Now I live in a little two story Geodesic Dome house on my little homestead. I built a blacksmith shop to do historical blacksmithing and buil...Expand for more
t a carpenter shop for traditional wood working. Threw out all of my IT books. I do Artisan Bread Baking in my wood fired brick oven, and make homemade wine. Go to the coast to buy fresh sea food. Volunteer at a National Historic Site in Vancouver WA in the autumn, winter and spring. Drive my little blue 21 year old Toyoto Pickup and my little green Honda Element, (named Kermit) Cook a lot of Ethnic Foods. Go lap swimming each morning and canoe and camp on weekends.
