Life After graduating from Glynn Academy, I attended Brunswick Junior College (now Coastal Georgia Community College) and graduated in 1967. I then went to Georgia Southern for a short while, intending to be an English teacher (hey, English was easy to me, and I liked the idea of three months off each year!). But Uncle Sam got a hold of me and I joined the U.S. Army - fortunately not having to go to Viet Nam. Went to Germany for 26 months and met my wife-to-be there - an American girl from Illinois visiting her brother who was stationed in the same area. One night when I was out with friends in downtown Heidelberg, Germany, I was walking to the men's room of a local restaurant and walking out of the men's room was one Joe Jetton! We recognized each other immediately and spent some time together - talk about a small world! After the Army stint, I decided on a career change and went into accounting. Ended up getting a BBA in Accounting from Georgia Southern University in 1974. I worked for CPA Firms on St. Simons Island for six years and then started my own firm in December 1981.
