Dereck's Story
Life
I've been a career soldier since I graduated LCHS in 1990. From reading my history you can see I've never stayed any one place for more than a couple of years. During my school days that was because of my parents, and now it's because of the Army. I would honestly be surprised if anyone would remember me from my school days. rld and back again. Currently I am stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky (again). I am Senior Intelligence Analyst with the 3d Battalion/ 320th Field Artillery (Red Knights), 3rd Brigade Combat Team (Rakkasans). Returned from Iraq where I spent from Mar-Oct '07 at COP Meade, and Dec '06-Feb '07 at FOB Stryker both places with 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry (Leader Rakkasans). Will deploy to Afghanistan soon with current unit for 12 months. Retirement is looming in the next few years.
