Derrick's Story
Since the eigth grade when I left to move to Idaho , well things have been very different for me . I had to get used to country life in a small town that doesn't like outsiders and I starting missing all my family and friends and what I knew as a city/suburban kid . I found making friends hard and they were not as open minded as they were when I lived in Pacifica . I felt as though I was lost .
But I did manage to graduate from high school and had a few of girlfriends !

s going out with someone else and said some bad things and paid for it . It cost me my popularity and credibility in my senior year ! I learned a real good lesson about that !
I attended college of and on and worked until I found a field that would interest me , so I decided to become an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) . I found this career to be rewarding and at times dangerous and highly stressful . I found out the easy way that I am responsible for anything I say and do and so far , I have done a good job as a professional lifesaver . Now my sights are on becoming a paramedic and teaching future EMTs and paramedics how to save lives .
