Life
Six months after BHS I joined the US Navy and did about 22 yrs which included time on three Aircraft carriers,four small Axu Ships two tours on Swift Boats in the Nam, fortunately never wounded, and a Classified place underground in Hawaii for two years (65-67)and MSO (Minesweeper) the last station was North Island where I was in the Safety Office. I used my GI Bill to get a degree in Safety and worked civil service for 5 yrs in A DO...Expand for more
D Safety office. Went to Idaho to take care of my mother who was sick, she passed a few weeks after I arrived, but I got a job in train service with Union Pacific Rail Road which lasted 16 years when I retired in 04. Had 5 heart bypasses in 02 but have recovered well. In late 04 moved to Fresno, Ca so the wife could be near her parents. that is life in a nut shell. Have moved twice since Fresno, Ca to Oxnard, Ca and then to Ventura, Ca.
